SEC Approves NASDAQ Rule For The Listing And Trading Of Digital Asset Securities
On March 19, 2026, the SEC issued an order approving a groundbreaking Nasdaq rule change that establishes a dedicated regulatory framework for the listing and trading of “Digital Asset Securities.” This approval marks a definitive shift in the modernization of the U.S. capital markets, providing a transparent pathway for issuers to utilize distributed ledger technology (DLT) for the issuance and secondary trading of securities on a national securities exchange.
